Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss has been a country music star for more than 30 years. Her birthplace was in Decatur IL on the 23rd July 1971. LeAnne Kymes was one of the two youngest Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. She was a teenager when she began her journey into the music world and was a winner of local contests as early as 10 years of age and recording her first album when she was fourteen years of age. She was signed in 1985 to Rounder Records. Her first solo album was released in 1987. In addition, she was invited to the group Alison Krauss Union Station where she still performs. Then, in 1989 her first solo album was released together with them.
